What is the S.A.R.T.?

The Williamson County Sexual Assault Response Team is a group of immediate responders that address the legal, physical, and emotional needs of sexual assault survivors.

Team Members for S.A.R.T. include:

Law Enforcement-Investigations
Victim Services-Victim Liaison
County/District Attorneys-Prosecutions
Medical Personnel-Exams
Crisis Center-Advocacy/Counseling
Child Advocacy Center-Child Interviews
Child/Adult Protective Services-Protection

Sexual assualt exams are performed by:
A Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (or S.A.N.E.) is a Registered Nurse who is trained to perform evidence-gathering medical exams, provide comprehensive care to survivors, and provide courtroom testimony.
