Provides relief to victims of disaster. Helps prevent, prepare for, and respond
to an emergency. Offers health and safety courses and disaster team training.

This program is administered by the Texas Attorney General's office and is
set up to compensate innocent victims for out of pocket expenses related to
personal injury as a direct result of a violent crime. This may include assistance
with medical, hospital and funeral costs, lost wages, as well as counseling
expenses directly related to the victimization.

Immediate crisis intervention with follow-up for crime victims (abused/neglected children, DWI, domestic violence, elderly, homicide survivors, sexual assault survivors). May provide hospital accompaniment, information and referral, criminal justice system information / orientation, court accompaniment, assistance in filing for Crime Victim's Compensation.
